Die Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Medizinische Genetik hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt die hohen Standards in der genetischen Beratung und Diagnostik, sowie bei der Betreuung von Menschen mit genetisch bedingten Leiden in der Schweiz zu gewährleisten, resp. zu fördern.

La Societé Suisse de Génétique Médicale a pour but la promotion de la plus haute qualité du conseil, du diagnostic et de la prise en charge génétiques en Suisse ainsi que de fournir encadrement et informations à toute personne intéressée.

The Swiss Society of Medical Genetics is committed to promoting and maintaining excellence in genetic counselling, diagnosis and care in Switzerland, and in providing support and information to all interested parties.
